The process(es)

You may find below a few guidelines describing my workflow, depending on the project type involved.
FANCY WORD - BRANDING

A big word, more suited for companies and it involves a complicated external and internal process which is best handled by an agency or a design studio.
For small businesses, startups or a small beauty parlor, this concept is scaled down to designing a great logo, stationery and other branding elements, in order to set an unitary look and feel over all printed materials and media (facebook, instagram etc)
But I still call it branding and I am happy to help.

01
Initial discussion

You let me know about your business and your ideas of the logo, in a meeting, e-mail or phone. We will set the timeline and budget at this phase too.

02
Research

It is a very important step, I need to see what is on the market in your industry, what are your competitors and how do they look like.

03
Proposal

Based on your input and my research (I ALWAYS research) I will draft 2, maximum 3 proposals out of which we will choose one to work with.

04
Adjustments

Adjustments, changes, revisions. I highly appreciate taking responsibility and/or letting me discuss directly to the decision maker in the process.

05
Tone setting

I will define a moodboard in order to set the tone for the next phase: the other branding elements.

06
Branding elements

Agreed stationery, promotional items or other print/large print materials.

07
Branding Manual

This is optional and expensive. It takes a lot of time, but it is good to have if you plan to go big with your business.

08
Delivery

I will deliver the files in all the formats you need for web and print.

I ONLY NEED A LOGO

You only have time and budget for a logo design?
Not ideal, but I managed over the years to optimize my process in order to meet this kind of expectation.
I understand that there are businesses that don't need a full branding and are ok with continuing designing inhouse after the logo is done.
But, if you have lots of time but small budget, we are not a good fit :-)

Initial discussion

You let me know about your business and your ideas of the logo, in a meeting, e-mail or phone. We will set the timeline and budget at this phase too.

02
Research and sketches

Based on your input and my research (I ALWAYS research) on the market I will draft max 2 proposals out of which we will choose one to work with.

03
Minor tweaks

I understand and have respect for your time, and I expect the same thing in return. Ammendments should be on point and reasonable.

04
Decision and delivery

Based on point 3, I will design the final logo and deliver the files in all the formats you need for web and print.

I NEED A FLYER

Or a catalogue, or a web banner, or an ad.
Not ideal still, but I can understand that your graphic designer is on vacation or just dissapeared (I hear this very often :-))

01
Initial discussion

Let me know who you are and what problem you have and/or are you trying to solve. What was done before? Have your copy and photos ready.

02
Proposal

03
Minor tweaks

I understand and have respect for your time, and I expect the same thing in return. Ammendments should be on point and reasonable, and ideally by one person.

04
Decision and delivery

I will deliver the files in the format you need for web and print.

MY LOGO IS DATED

Let me know who you are and what problem you are trying to solve, and we will decide either if you need just a logo or a full rebrand.
Based on that we set the budget and the timeline.
